On Wednesday, May 27 we will discuss the prevention and management of COVID-19 Outbreak in the Clearwater neighborhood. Please join us.
Yesterday's Clearwater Beach Covid update
It was pleasure to meet all the neighbors who participated in yesterday's Covid call. Thanks to all for your insightful thoughts and comments pertaining to managing our current Covid phase as well as what we should/can do if another outbreak ocurs in our local community.
As Michael mentioned during the call, anyone who is interested in becoming a "contact tracer" should reply on this site and we will put you in touch with the appropriate agency to sign up and complete the online training. One of our neighbors (and forgive me, but I think it was Len)) indicated that his wife has already signed up and this is a paying job.
Although my wife Donna and I are relatively new residents of Clearwater at 4 years, we have a vested interested in the health and well being of our community. We plan on being fulltime residents later this year.
If I can be of any assistance, feel free to reach to reach me on my mobile at 914-420-9271.

CDC Covid prevention guidelines
On this Wednesday's Covid Clearwater call, someone asked "what can we do to prevent the spread of Covid 19. Below are the CDC guidelines in simplistic terms. I know that we have all heard and seen these guideline in the last 2+ months, but thought it worth posting on this forum
Stay safe and well
The best way to prevent infection is to avoid being exposed. COVID-19 spreads from person to person, and can be spread by those who are infected but don't display symptoms. The CDC advises washing hands, avoiding close contact with others, and cleaning and disinfecting surfaces. Older adults and those with underlying chronic medical conditions should take extra precautions.
The CDC recommends use of non-medical, cloth-based face coverings in some public settings. Medical masks should be reserved for healthcare workers.
